Grandma Criticized For Excluding One Child From Matching Family Gift
Everyone loves receiving gifts on Christmas, especially from grandma!
Well, this grandma is facing criticism for her gift because it was a matching set of pajamas for her grandkids, except one.
This Grandma’s Christmas Gift
On one lovely Christmas day, this grandma bought matching pajamas for all of her grandkids.
That is, except for her step-grandkid. Why? Because her step-grandkid didn’t belong to her son.
Briery Hill And Local’s Facebook
This story was shared on Spotted: Brierley Hill and Local’s Facebook page and had a picture of the kids.
The post reads, “Some people out there with no heart! ‘A friend of mine is married. Mother-in-law bought matching PJs for all kids EXCEPT the one that doesn’t belong to her son. Is she wrong?'”
Many people were outraged at such a heartless and cruel act.
It was Christmas, after all! The time of year when everyone typically becomes nicer and does more acts of kindness because they saw it in a Hallmark Christmas movie.
Others Share Their Stories
While many were outraged, others shared their own horror stories when dealing with evil mother-in-laws or people not accepting blended families.
And yes, the stories are as bad as this one.
The In-Law Debacle
When you marry someone, you want them to be loved and respected by your family. But sometimes, that’s not the case.
But that’s a family member’s problem, not yours. If a family member doesn’t like your spouse, you should avoid that family member or tell them to change their attitude.
Blended Family Issues
A blended family can be complicated. Don’t alienate each other; for better or worse, you’re a family now – love each other like one.
And if in-laws don’t recognize step-kids as part of the family, then they probably shouldn’t be seeing your amazing blended family.
