In today's online dating world, you almost never really know who you're speaking with until you meet them in person.
One woman was able to realize that she was being catfished by a man on Bumble thanks to an Apple Watch!
Matched On Bumble
Jocelyn matched with a man on Bumble who she thought was good-looking and she was in to.
Their conversation was going well and he invited her to go to dinner. That's when she decided to give him her number so they didn't have to talk in the app.
His Texts Showed Up Green
Shortly after she gave him her number, she received a text from him to coordinate a date.
One might think that this is a good sign. Well, the green text alerted her inner dating detective!
The Apple Watch
Jocelyn was a little suspicious of the green bubbles because she noticed that in one of his Bumble pictures he was wearing an Apple Watch.
The green text messages she was getting, however, meant that he didn't have an iPhone!
He's A Model From New York!
From there she was on the case!
Jocelyn reverse image searched some of his profile pictures and made a startling discovery. The pictures were of an Instagram model from New York! She lives in Ontario, Canada, so that wasn't adding up.
Dating Profile Is Named Myles
The man she matched with and was talking to was named "Myles," according to his profile on Bumble.
The man in the pictures on Instagram was named Ron. Jocelyn was getting catfished!
Stay Woke Ladies!
Thankfully for her, she had not put too much time or effort into this man before she realized he was a catfish!
She told women to stay woke and alert because there are catfishes everywhere!
