These People’s Partners Lied To Them For Years, So Clearly It’s Better To Stay Single

Depending on who you talk to, there are plenty of people out there who would say that it's okay to lie to your spouse or your partner in a relationship. Those people, though, would definitely clarify that it should be little white lies, not monumental things.

You can lie when your girlfriend asks if you noticed her new haircut, because it's better for the both of you. Where do you draw the line, though? We'd probably say things like lying about how many children you actually have or how old you are would be crossing the line.

It's not even about the fact that the person they're with has three kids instead of two. It's that they lied about how many children they have.

How do you decide that one of your children just doesn't matter enough to mention?

She would not be the first woman to go on a date and fake an interest in something because she wants to connect with the person they're dating.

However, lying about having a dead mother is very different than feigning an interest in his favorite hockey team or googling information about what "bouldering" is when you go to the bathroom.
