Guy Lists His ‘Requirements’ For His Next Girlfriend, And I Get Why He’s Single
Of course, when we're looking for someone to date long-term, there are certain characteristics we want our potential partners to have. Our desires can range from something as specific as wanting to date someone who is as outdoorsy as you or as general as having a good sense of humor.
However, this one guy took his list of criteria too far, and it makes sense that he still hasn't found the one.
Luckily, The Person Who Took To Roasting Him Kept His Identity Hidden
On Reddit, one user shared a screenshot of a Facebook post that a guy had shared about his requirements for this next girlfriend.
It was so ridiculous and toxic that this person just had to share it with a bigger community online.
He Starts Off Physical
I find it hilarious that the first thought in his brain when thinking about a relationship is how a girlfriend would look.
This man had better be a straight-up Adonis to want his future girlfriend to look like a fitness model.
He Moves On To Other Characteristics
In his defense, this segment actually has one or two reasonable requests.
I mean, that's a pretty creepy age range to operate within (how could you be open to dating an 18-year-old and a 40-year-old? Those are two wholly different life stages), but at least it's not a difficult requirement to hit.
Then, He Starts To Really Get Toxic
About midway into his requirement list, this guy decided to go from exhibiting a general jerk mentality to straight-up being predatory.
Like, he straight-up decided that he wanted a nice little subservient woman to do everything he wants and who allows him to control every aspect of her life. Terrifying and disgusting.
He Ends It Off With A Series Of Demands
About half of these reek of pure misogyny and entitlement—dude, you can cook your own meals—while the other half are hysterical to me.
I mean, I'm pretty sure it's standard that a girlfriend will go on dates with you? That's the bare minimum of relationships.
All In All, It's Fair To Say That This List Is Ridiculous
Once again, there is nothing wrong with having standards when it comes to who you want to date, but it's also important to know when you're asking for too much.
That being said, as much as I hate the list this guy wrote, I am really glad that he posted it: at least every woman on his social media will know he's a toxic loser who's not worth their time.
