They might not actually care that much about going to local art shows, but they go anyway because they know you love it and they just want to make you happy. Most people won't tolerate an activity they don't love unless they're invested in you.
They Say You're "Dating," Not "Hanging Out"
Wording makes a huge difference: If they call your time together just "hanging out," they might be trying to avoid commitment. However, "dating" implies a more serious interest in you.
They Encourage Taking Pictures Together
Nobody wants to have a bunch of photos with people they don't care about crowding their camera roll, so if they want to take photos and selfies together while you're out, they're likely hoping you'll stick around.
