We have all gone through a tough breakup and afterward wished that we were still together.
One man on TikTok went to great lengths to try to get back together with his ex-girlfriend.
Wanted His Ex Back
Like many people, Sami wanted to get back together with his ex-girlfriend Marissa.
He shared a video on TikTok and said that he was determined that they were going to get back together on her upcoming visit to New York.
Wanted Her To Think He Was Successful
It was going to be the first time that they had seen each other in five years.
Like most breakups, Sami wanted his ex to feel like he was successful and doing fine without her.

So to do that, Sami went around and asked the people in his neighborhood for help.
He went into stores where they would be going and asked people to act like he was their favorite person—he even made mugs with his face on them!
Make Her A Little Jealous
He asked for them to be excited to see him and ask how he is doing.
He also wanted to sprinkle in a couple flakes of jealousy by making it look like he had been dating a supermodel.
Everyone Had To Be On Board
Everyone that he talked to wanted to help him out with his mission to get back with his ex.
They all knew that it was an all-or-nothing situation and, thankfully, everyone bought in.
It Worked Perfectly
The plan started to come together as they went from store to store in the neighborhood.
One man was very excited to tell his ex Marissa that Sami saved his mom's life.
Recognized Everywhere They Went
Others gave Sami high fives and asked if they could take a selfie with him.
The plan appeared to have been going exactly how Sami had hoped that it would.
She Was Shocked
Marissa was so overcome with shock at how well-liked and respected Sami was in his neighborhood.
You could see it in her face and she even said that she thought that he wasn't doing well after the breakup.
They're Back Together
The plan went so well that Sami said that the two of them got back together the very same day.
She was clearly very impressed with how "well-liked" he was and the "kindness" that he showed to his friends.
