“Pay It Forward” Chain Broken By Ex-Employee Who Calls Them Annoying
Many of us have been there: you order your food and find out the person ahead of you has paid for you.
We all like that feeling of being part of a "pay it forward system." But what seems nice to some can be annoying to others.

She says, "because I'm not a sucker."
Bennet Found "Pay It Forward" Chains Annoying
Bennet stitched Trin's video and expanded on her point from a Starbucks employee's point of view.
"I would get so annoyed when people did pay it forwards because I had to keep track of the person's order."
What Would Bennet Do?
Bennet admits, "when somebody decided to pay it forward, I would look at the next person and say sorry about the wait if they had to wait."
"Or I'd make an excuse and just say, "here's a free drink for you." And yea, I would stop the pay it forward."

Surprisingly, many commenters admitted that they hated "pay it forward" chains and would not pay for other people's food.
People said, "it's supposed to be a random act of kindness. Not a chain."

Elsewhere, other TikTokers have gone viral for refusing to pay it forward.
Mac Tray stopped a 23-car "pay it forward" chain because the order behind him cost $46, and his order was only $6.
Grace Refused The "Conga Line Of Morality."
Grace went to her Starbucks and was offered free food because the people before her paid it forward.
But she was not going to be shamed into "a conga line of morality" to "give the gesture back."
