Let's all agree on something: 2020 has been trash so far. You don't have to believe in spirituality to try and manifest a better rest of the year.
The following steps are simply a way for anyone and everyone to apply a little more positivity into their lives and unleash a little more happiness going forward.
What Does "Manifestation" Even Mean?
Manifestation is anything that is brought into your physical reality through your own thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. The process of manifesting is the belief that if you focus hard enough, you can bring whatever you want into reality via your conscious or subconscious.
Ultimately, it's a way of keeping yourself motivated to go after what you really want.
Figure Out Exactly What You Want
If you don't know exactly what you want, then you can’t actually take the necessary steps to make it happen. To manifest something, you have to sit down with yourself and get very clear on the specifics.
Try writing down a list of all your hopes and dreams that you'd like to work towards attaining. Nothing is too far-fetched at this point.
Visualize It Like It Already Happened
This is basically your way of asking the universe for what your heart desires. Some call it prayer, and some call it mediation, but for our sake, we're going to call visualization.
Visualize exactly the kind of life you desire with as many details as possible as if you were living it, and act as if it already happened and is already yours.
Make An Action Plan Towards Your Goals
You can't now expect your wishes to fall into your lap. Make a concrete plan of what actions you can take to get to closer to your goal. Make sure those actions are gradual and attainable. You won't be a millionaire tomorrow, but look up what jobs or degrees you can get for higher pay, for example.
Trust In The Process
It won't magically happen right away, but don't let that discourage you or frustrate you. If you cave in to the struggle of the obstacles along the way, you'll hold yourself back and get stuck on doubt.
Instead, trust the process and remember that with each day, you're getting closer and closer. Where you are is already proof of how far you've come.
Acknowledge The Small Wins Along The Way
It's easy to miss the signs that prove that you're on the right track when your whole focus is on the final destination. Instead, celebrate the journey. Each small step towards your big goal, even the smallest of promotions or praise, is a win.
Keep Up The Good Vibes
You want to stay positive even through the worst of times (we'll get into why later).
By spending as little as 10–15 minutes a day doing something that makes you feel good, like watching a funny video or dancing around, you keep your spirits up and your vibrations high.
Let Go Of Doubt And Resistance
A lot of what you subconsciously do can effectively resist what the universe is trying to offer you. Things like doubt, pain, procrastination, frustration, anxiety, fear, regret, and resentment are all forms of resistance.
They are totally normal. The difference is between letting them consume you and learning to navigate them.
Know The Difference Between What You Want And What You Need
You might think you want a lot of money and a big house, but what is that what you really need? Dig deep into your desires beyond the shallow material things. Figure out not what makes you greedy, but what can truly fulfill you and give you purpose and peace.
Get Rid Of What Stands In Your Way
It's hard to get rid of a negative mindset and negative beliefs. This is because a lot of it is conditioned in us from an early age. A lot of the time, we take on what our parents and friends teach us, which always has limitations.
Break from standards and expectations, and see how far you can push yourself and your boundaries towards your goals. You'll surprise yourself.
Get Rid Of Who Stands In Your way
You may care about everyone in your life, but there is no denying that a lot of them are toxic people. A toxic person isn't necessarily someone who goes out of their way to hurt you. It's anyone who holds you back, anyone who doesn't give as much as they take from you, anyone who doesn't believe in your potential, etc.
Timing Is Key
Good things will happen at the right time and for the right reasons. So if something isn't happening for you right now, it doesn't mean it never will.
Sometimes, even if you get what you want right at the moment you want it, it doesn't work out. Let things fall into place the way they're meant to.
Believe That You Hold The Power
Yes, a lot of what is happening around you is circumstantial and out of your hands, but how you react to it and what you do about it is completely in your hands.
If you're laid off, you can use that time to feed your body and mind with workouts and mediation, or you can drink every day lamenting about how much you wish you still had a job.
A good way to remind yourself of power is writing down affirmations, which are basically self-love notes like "I am strong" for motivation.
Be Grateful For What You Do Have
It's so easy to pity yourself for your losses instead of showing gratitude for what you still have. Gratitude works on different levels. It starts with basic needs. Do you have food, water, and a roof over your head? That is already enough to feel grateful for. There are some people who wish for nothing more than that.
From there, you can work your way up until you get everything you wish for. Try even keeping a journal where you write down three good things that happen to you every day for perspective.
Trust That Things Have A Funny Way Of Working Out
One day, you'll look back on this moment and laugh at how it worked out. It might not seem like it step by step, but focus on the big picture. Each moment is simply a puzzle piece waiting to fill that picture.
What Is The Law Of Attraction?
The law of attraction and manifesting go hand in hand. The law of attraction says that whatever you give your energy and attention to will come back to you.
So if you focus on the good and the positive, you attract more of it, while if you focus on lack and negativity, you invite more of that into your life.
It's A Physical Vibration Too: Like Attracts Like
The first law is that you will attract into your life whatever you focus on. In fancy terms, your energy vibrations will attract energy of the same frequencies back to you.
This means that you need to make sure that you are putting out positive energy, thoughts, and feelings that resonate with what you want. Think of it like tuning yourself to the right radio station frequency.
Clear Up Your Space As A Canvas For A New One
The second law of attraction is what is known as "nature abhors a vacuum," and it's based on the laws of thermodynamics. It says that it's impossible to create a completely empty space because atoms are always moving around and immediately fill any empty space.
In simpler terms, you need to get rid of the clutter in your life to make the space for the positive changes. Like Marie Kondo said: tidying is life-changing.
The Present Is Always Perfect
The third law is that even though the present never looks like it's perfect (like all of 2020, basically), in its own way, it is. It's leading to change and evolution.
When you're stuck in the same routine, you lose sight. In change, you can make things better. And to make tomorrow better, you have to focus on making today the best it can be.
Become A Vibrational Match
You need to become a "vibrational match" to build the capacity to receive what you manifest. This is done by rewiring your thoughts and actions to their utmost potential and positivity.
In other words, be your best self and try your best, then keep an eye out for the fruit of your labors. Good things will come your way.
