Chick Flicks Your Boyfriend Might Actually Like
It's such a headache sometimes to get your man to sit down with you and watch a movie that isn't an action film or something scary. There really isn't anything wrong with those types of films, but sometimes all you really want to watch is a good old-fashioned chick flick.

Crazy, Stupid, Love
Not only is this all-star cast a huge reason to watch this film, but it's also charming and full of good laughs. Who wouldn't want to watch Ryan Gosling give a sad and recently divorced Steve Carell a makeover both inside and out, and that's not even the biggest twist.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
This one is kind of a no-brainer. Jason Segel, Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, and Russell Brand make this a hilarious and unforgettable tale about what happens when you take your dream couple's vacation on your own after your partner leaves you. Besides, most guys can get behind a story written by Jason Segel himself.
The Big Sick
There are lots of reasons to enjoy this film, one being that it takes the classic rom-com formula and turns it all around. It's written by Emily V. Gordon and her husband, Kumail Nanjiani, who stars in the movie. It's loosely based on their own courtship, so it's not full of the usual tropes and clichés that make other rom-coms a turn-off for our male counterparts.
Lars And The Real Girl
I'll be honest, this one is a little bit weird, but it's worth the watch and it will make you look at Ryan Gosling in a whole new light. It has likable characters and some surprisingly deep moments that will make you fall in love with the story, even if it is a bit strange.
It's the furthest thing from your traditional romantic comedy, and you'll certainly have a lot to discuss when it's over.
Bridesmaids
By now, most of us have seen this movie and love it, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth revisiting. Nothing is going to top the scene at the wedding boutique. Besides, who doesn't like a good old-fashioned catfight that ends in everyone being friends?
Silver Linings Playbook
There is nothing about this movie that isn't dramatic, and it seems like every character is dealing with some pretty heavy baggage. But the Silver Linings Playbook is an honest look at how good things can come from bad experiences, and that's a story we could all hear from time to time.
Mean Girls
This classic coming of age film is a must-watch for anyone, and it's one that almost anyone will enjoy. It's quotable, has that smart Tina Fey sense of humor, and is deeply relatable, no matter what gender you are.
Atonement
Atonement is a beautiful film visually and emotionally, but there is a lot in there for someone who isn't in it for the romance. This one is a perfect film to watch with your SO if they're a music lover because it has a killer soundtrack. It's got a great plot that focuses on putting your all into your real connections and not being so afraid to commit. Something that many people struggle with.

How to Be Single has a great cast of leading ladies but tells a slightly different story than your typical romantic comedy. Most of the relationships explored in this film are the ones we have with ourselves. Parts of it may be a little cliché, but not so much so that your partner is going to roll his eyes and demand it be turned off.

Whether or not we like it, we're all going to get older someday. This is 40 is another Judd Apatow classic, starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, and who doesn't love the two of them? Plus, this is the follow-up to another Apatow movie on this list, Knocked Up. It's hilarious and sometimes too honest about what you and your man have to look forward to as you age and build a life together.

What would a romantic comedy list be without at least one indie film? Two Night Stand is a story about what happens when someone you were hooking up with ends up being the best thing that ever happened to you. It stars Miles Teller, who is loved by all, and it doesn't feel as showy as your traditional rom-com. Your boyfriend might not even know he's watching one.
