Disney+ Is Here So Let The Nostalgia Binge Begin
Picture It. You just got home from school, your backpack has been thrown on the ground and your mom is telling you to pick your things up but you can't hear her because you're looking for a snack. You flick on the TV and get ready for that afternoon lineup because it is glorious and the only thing that got through the day.
Those were some of the best days, and they don't have to be a distant memory anymore because Disney+ has brought back all the best shows from our childhood.
Lizzie McGuire
Our favorite daydreaming teenager is back along with her friends Gordo and Miranda. Who could forget the classic episode where Lizzie goes to the mall to buy her first bra?
Kim Possible
Rufus, Ron, and Kim were always saving the world while staying on top of her homework and family life, which was wild because getting homework done was always a struggle.
That's So Raven
Who could forget this gem of a high school drama? Raven, Chelsea, and Eddie were the best, but they always got it wrong. Lucky for us, that's just like adulthood.
The Wizards Of Waverly Place
Oh Selena Gomez, what humble beginnings you came from. Alex Russo was a fashion icon. Who else tried rocking that page boy that she wore so well in the first season?
Hannah Montanna
Hannah Montana was an icon and the show was one of the greatest things on Disney Channel. You know it, I know it. In retrospect, Jackson looks like he's in his thirties.
Camp Rock
Is there a sweeter sound than The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato crushing it on Camp Rock? When they continued their music careers, they should have made an album together.
High School Musical
Everybody's favorite couple was Troy and Gabriella. High School Musical was one of the most dramatic movies I've ever watched in my life. Everyone dreamed about what it would have been like to attend East High.
Even Stevens
Evan Stevens was the best Disney Channel show ever. Don't @ me if you disagree, because I'm right. Shia Labeouf was at his best when he was carrying on with Beans.
Cadet Kelly
Who else watched this movie and was super pumped to get fit and make a difference? It only lasted for like an hour or two after, but Cadet Kelly was truly inspiring.
Freaky Friday
An absolute classic! This was Disney at its prime. Everyone I know tried to get those blonde highlights after that movie came out and don't even get me started on the punk rock phase we all went through.
The Cheetah Girls
Disney was really into their movies about bands! The Cheetah Girls was a wild ride start to finish. And let us not forgot their album Cheetah-licious Christmas. Every song on that CD was a bop.
The Parent Trap
Lindsay Lohan really did deliver some of the greatest movies of our childhood. I'm pretty sure this movie started a fad of eating peanut butter and Oreos, at least it did for me and my friends.
Tru Confessions
This was a more serious film, but an awesome one nonetheless. Tru Confessions was the first thing I ever considered 'my stories,' which basically means I would watch it and cry in the dark.
The Suite Life Of Zach And Cody
Who knew that Cole Sprouse would go from playing the trouble-making Cody Martin to the trouble-solving Jughead on Riverdale? This show was full of oneliners that I know we all used to death.
Zenon: Girl Of The 21st Century
Zenon came from space in the year 2049 which is absolutely wild because that's only 30 years away. We might have grandchildren by then! Hopefully they'll be cultured enough to enjoy a classic like Zenon.
Recess
Recess is one of the greatest animated shows of all time. Miss Grotke was the best and she was way before her time. Most of us have grown up to be just like her.
Halloweentown
This movie was appropriate viewing all year 'round because it was that good, but it was one of the best things about Halloween on Disney. You could cuddle up and eat all the candy that was meant for the neighborhood kids.
Phineas and Ferb
This show was wild. An animated musical comedy and nothing about it was even close to scientifically possible. I mean, look at those noses. And who has a pet Platypus?
Boy Meets World
Boy Meets World was a childhood staple. There were so many life lessons to be learned from Mr. Feeny. Cory and Topanga were relationship goals and we always knew they'd end up together in the end.
Doug
I didn't know that Doug was a mostly autobiographical show about creator Jim Jinkins's life. That makes it even more enduring. I'm so glad Disney brought it back when they acquired ABC.
